Roots CBD is a cannabis brand that sources highest quality CBD products from industry leading farmers, based in the US Chicago. They are also a startup that’s established in the year of 2020. Roots CBD has clear and appealing value propositions that are distinct from the value propositions of competitors. They stand for all natural, 100% organic, all tested, and GMP quality.
As a fresh and a young startup brand, the problems they faced immediately was the competition, brand awareness and also sales. How can we position ourselves to our target audience and win the competitors?
Goal was to make a simple, neat, attractive, clean and eye-catchy branding and packaging design. Furthermore, the idea was to make a professional brand that sells high quality, 100% organic and natural products. For our design direction, we wanted to appeal to middle to upper middle class and we didn’t want our brand to look too weedy.
About the project:
First, when it comes to our logo design, the direction we went was making a cannabis icon. The solution we provided was making the cannabis leaves and roots together as a creative symbol. Second, when it comes to our packaging, we designed catchy illustrative looking patterns that’s consistent across our whole branding. As a result, our brand sticks out from the competition and attracts clients.
When our products are on the shelves next to of our competitors in retail, our customers will definitely get attracted by our packaging. Which will furthermore, result into more sales, more traffic and more brand awareness.
