Butter & Crumbs is a bakery based in Montreal, Quebec, offering artisan baked goods made with the finest ingredients. Their signature ingredients are Belgian chocolate ganache and real buttercream. Belgian chocolate ganache is a rich and decadent chocolate filling made from high-quality Belgian chocolate and heavy cream.  Every bite is filled with a mouth-watering experience reminiscent of childhood memories. Further, bakeries in Quebec, Canada are known for their wide variety of fresh, delicious baked goods that reflect the province’s rich cultural heritage. From flaky croissants to sweet pastries and hearty bread, bakeries in Quebec offer something for everyone.

About the project:

To complement its tasty baked goods, Butter & Crumbs needs a visual identity that will appeal to its generation 20-35 year old. Butter & Crumbs wants to build its online presence and reach a younger demographic.

B&C needs a visual identity that will stand out on social media, on packaging and on the bakery website that stands out from the competition. This project aims to develop a visual identity that evokes sincerity, consideration and also self-expression.

Besides, we want the logo to communicate the intended message that our bakeries are rich in flavors, baked from scratch with premium ingredients. 

First, the problem was solved by using vibrant and colourful color palette. It’s paired with rich and premium looking typography so it shows we are using only high quality ingredients. We used initial letters both B and C to represent our business name. To make our icon more unique, we added a simple grain too. To emphasize self expression, we went with this tropical jungle theme because our supporting elements involve tropical leaves, birds and flowers. Lastly, since there aren’t many bakeries that have this unique looking brand identity, our brand will stand apart from the crowd.
